How It Works:

UltraShape is a non-surgical body contouring treatment that uses focused ultrasound technology to break down unwanted fat by selectively targeting fat cells and disrupting them without harming surrounding tissues. The fat is gradually removed through the body's natural cleansing process.

UltraShape may be an option for people in Victoria, BC who don’t want liposuction, and instead want a non-invasive solution to removing unwanted fat. A hand-held device gently glides over the skin of the area being treated to provide contouring. UltraShape treatments are effective; results may be seen as soon as a few weeks following the first treatment. For optimal results, a series of at least 3 treatments is required. In general, patients report that UltraShape treatments provide smooth, even results and that they are able to resume their normal, everyday activities immediately following the treatment.

How It Feels:

A hand held device glides gently over the area to be treated. A mild tingling sensation lasting seconds may be felt. The procedure is generally comfortable and pain free.

Downtime:

No downtime. Patients may resume normal activities immediately.

Treatment Time:

Treatments may last from one to one and a half hours depending on the size and number of areas treated.

Frequency:

Most of the effect of a single treatment is seen by 3-4 weeks. Additional fat reduction may be achievable with subsequent treatments. Recommended minimum number of treatments is three; spaced 4 weeks apart.
