Ulthera™

Benefits/How It Works

Benefits:

Ulthera, approved by both Health Canada and the FDA, is indicated as a non-invasive browlift as well as for tightening lax skin of the face and neck. It lifts and contours lax skin with lasting and natural results. Drawing from time-tested ultrasound principles, Ulthera™ triggers the body's natural healing responses. This results in new and improved collagen development, as well as a gradual lifting and tightening of the skin.  This unique procedure is the first non-invasive procedure with an FDA approval for lifting the skin.

How It Works:

Ulthera™ works by utilizing focused ultrasound energy at an ideal depth below the skin to achieve lifting, tightening, and firming without harming the skin's surface. At this level, Ulthera™ encourages the body's natural healing responses to remodel targeted tissues and promote new collagen formation.

Patients in British Columbia wanting an alternative to a face lift, who have lax skin around the chin and jaw line, as well as heavy eyebrows and eyelids, may benefit from this treatment. An Ulthera™ treatment usually takes 30-45 minutes depending on the specific area being treated. Many patients report that they experience minimal to no downtime with this treatment.
