Improvement in scars can make a big difference to a person’s self-esteem. At Cosmedica, we have multiple lasers and other modalities to match the various types of scars; all of which are dermatologist directed. A full complement of technologies optimizes results.

How It Works:

There are many potential components to scars including changes in texture and colour. The best time to treat a scar is within the first few weeks to months, however, old scars may be improved. For textural improvement, options include resurfacing lasers, infrared lasers, IPL™ light treatments and radiofrequency skin tightening with Thermage. Red colour can be improved with one of our many blood vessel lasers and light systems. Gravel and brown discoloration within scars can be removed with one of our three pigment specific lasers and painful or itchy scars need to be addressed.
