Lips tend to lose volume with time leading to a lack of definition of the lip borders and bleeding of lipstick into lines radiating out from the lips. Revitalizing the lips can make a big difference to a person’s self-esteem and confidence.

How It Works:

Various components of the aged lip are addressed in a comprehensive manner. Dermal fillers replenish volume and restore definition. Downturned corners of the mouth can be brought up leading to a more youthful appearance. Fine lines radiating from the lips can also be softened. These outer lines may also be addressed by one of our resurfacing lasers. Botox is often used to help further raise the corners of the mouth and soften the degree of pursing that contributes to the lines. Excessive gum show can be improved and asymmetries addressed for greater harmony and natural balance.

Ideal For:

Thin lips, lipstick bleeding, lines and wrinkles around the lips, downturned corners of the mouth.

How It Feels:

Topical or local anesthetic is normally used to provide maximal comfort.

Downtime:

Variable swelling and possible bruising. Lips can look good right away or may take a week or two to feel more natural.

Treatment Time:

20-30 minutes depending on which type of treatment is used.

Frequency:

The safest dermal fillers are temporary and as such maintenance once or twice a year is the norm. Resurfacing can lead to benefits lasting years. Botox frequency is every 3-6 months.
