Dr. Mark Lupin
Dr. Mark Lupin is the Director and Founder of Cosmedica. He is a dermatologist specializing in laser medicine with additional training in neurology.
Dr. Lupin has a particular interest in photodermatology, the interaction of light and the skin, with subspecialty training at St. John's Hospital, London, England. This, along with his BSc "cum laude" in Applied Mathematics from Dalhousie University, gives him unique insight and appreciation of lasers and their aesthetic benefit.
Dr. Lupin is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. He received the John Melady Award, Frederic Hudd Scholarship Award and the Dr. C.S. Wainwright Memorial Scholarship Award at the University of Toronto Medical School. Dr. Lupin was awarded the National Science and Engineering Research Council Award and the Karyn Kupcinet Scholarship Award for research at the Weizmann Institute, Israel.
Following completion of clinical residencies in neurology and dermatology at the University of British Columbia, Dr. Lupin served as Consultant at the Vancouver Hospital and Health Sciences Centre while fulfilling teaching responsibilities to the Dermatology Resident Staff. As Clinical Instructor with the Department of Dermatology and Skin Science, UBC, he enjoys teaching medical students and dermatology residents.
As one of the principal injectors of Botox in Canada, Dr. Lupin is a preceptor in teaching advanced injection techniques to other physicians. He is widely respected amongst his peers and regularly trains other physicians from across Canada in laser safety and aesthetics.
Dr. Lupin is a Fellow of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, Member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and President of the Canadian Laser Aesthetic Surgery Society.
